Facing the main entrance to the site, the central covered atrium is the buffer zone between the main buildings and the extension building. It becomes an access & function distribution hub and provides accesses to all classrooms, the multi function hall, the canteens and all areas of the B1 level. It also has the function of a winter garden, like an orangerie. It’s non-slip glass block roof forming the play-sports grounds above allow a maximum natural light down below. The immense tilted glass volumes built over the classrooms at the northern facade have an inclinaison absorbing the natural light from the south and diffusing it into the classrooms below.
